2-5 september 2011 Çeşme Marina, Izmir, Turkey

With the FAVOR SKIFF CUP 2011, Turkey welcomed for the first time a race of the 29erXX class. The races are taking place in the main European cities very close to the shores enabling the general public to watch live the “speed” and “manoeuvring skills” of the racers. Between 2nd and 5th of September 2011, 16 teams from 9 different countries and with 8 national champions raced the FAVOR SKIFF CUP in Çeşme Marina in Turkey.

The teams of 2 people, consisting of exclusively women, have confronted one other in the style of Slalom “Match Race”.

The FAVOR SKIFF CUP, being part of Downhill Skiff Cross concept, has offered during 3 days an amazing show to the inhabitants of Çeşme, the general public as well as the media who were watching it in-crowd on the shore.
